How Do  Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community.

Here are some ways that you can learn, serve, and grow at our church.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study. Contact the church office to connect with a small group.

Sunday School

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers has a heart for Jesus and love for children. Children of all ages, members and non-members, are invited to join our Sunday morning classe

Adult Education
Each Sunday morning, adults have an opportunity to participate in a study and discussion in “Tackling Today’s Topics” at 10:30 a.m.  Pastor Ken conducts a weekly Bible study on Wednesday’s at 12:30 p.m.

Youth
Today’s youth live in a challenging culture. Hectic schedules, high expectations from extra-curricular activities and pressure to make the grades are just a few of the demands they face on a day-to-day basis. Calvary’s youth program offers a refuge from this world, but also sends them back into the world to take the good news of God’s love to those that need it. Our youth are engaged in worship, serving, fellowship and learning in a variety of ways. We offer regular gatherings and special events for youth in grades 3-5, middle school, and high school.

Women’s Circle
Women’s circles give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Women’s Bible & Book Studies

Women meet at the church twice a month for in-depth Bible study. In addition, the women’s book group studies literature from a Christian perspective.

Men’s Ministry
The Calvary Men’s Breakfast group meets at Maxim’s in Brookfield each Wednesday for breakfast, Bible reading, prayer, conversation, and fellowship. Men also gather monthly for dinner, fellowship, Bible study and prayer.  The time typically begins with food and fellowship. Once the body has been fed, the Men’s Ministry group works on the soul by studying and discussing Biblical topics and principles.

Church Life Events
Our Church Life committee plans many fun activities throughout the year including a chili and soup cook-off, Starry Nights at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center, Walk for Water to benefit Compassion International. Sunset Playhouse theater outings and much more.
